Obituary for Marjorie Stowers Bishop

Marjorie  Stowers  Bishop
Marjorie Stowers Bishop, 96, of Dawsonville passed away Friday April 11, 2014 at Cumming Manor following a period of declining health.
Born September 1, 1917 to the late William R. “Bob” and Mary Stowers, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Mrs. Bishop was a former teacher in the Dawson County School System and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arch Bishop; five brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are her son, Gary Bishop, Dawsonville; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Sunday April 13, 2014 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gary Coffey and Rev. Wallace Payne will officiate. Interment will follow in Moss Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
