Message to the Family: I have many wonderful memories of Mrs. Stamey. As a young girl growing up on Haralson Road, I spent many hours at her home where we worked in her garden and flower beds; canned vegetables; read magazines; listened to music especially Merle Haggard (her favorite) and oh yes, drank coffee. Mrs. Stamey was a special friend, big sister and like a second mother to me. She will always have a special place in my heart and I will think of her often until we meet again.
