Obituary for James "Red" Newsham

James "Red"  Newsham
James “Red” Newsham, 68, of Dawsonville passed away Friday November 3, 2017 at Northside Forsyth Hospital.
Born May 24, 1949 in New Bedford, MA to the late Enoch and Doreen Newsham, he moved from New Hampshire 25 years ago and to Dawson County from Alpharetta 21 years ago. Mr. Newsham retired as an IT Manager with Hewlett-Packard after 25 years of service. He enjoyed reading, camping, hiking, wildlife and relaxing on his front porch. James was an avid supporter of the U. S. military and the veterans. He was a very devoted husband and father.
Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Jenna; son, Nathan Newsham, Hagerstown, Maryland; granddaughters, Samantha Newsham, Ashlee Thomas; brothers and sisters in law, Bob and Lucille Newsham, Bluffton, SC, Ed and Doreen Newsham, New Bedford, MA; nieces, Carolyn, Heather, Andrea; nephew, Jeff; and his cat, Rusty.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday November 11, 2017 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 until 11 at the funeral home.
