Condolence From: Tom
Condolence: I consider Fletch to be a true friend. I’ve laughed many times at his stories at Rock Creek. He was a genuine caring human being. He will be truly missed.

Condolence: As I write this, I look back on my school days and smile. Mr. Fletcher was truly an incredible man. Much more than a teacher, he was a mentor and a friend to me as well as many students at Dawson County High. Always willing to let “boys be boys”, which probably caused him some grief sometimes, you knew where he drew the line and you didn’t want to cross it. Even now, thirty years after graduating, when I reminisce with friends about the old days, the stories of Fletch still come up. A true man of character that would always smile when he spoke of his family. I consider myself truly blessed for the time I had with Mr. Fletcher and can only hope he was aware of the impact he had on the young people of Dawson County.

Condolence: Charles Fletcher was my friend! I loved him and I surely miss him! I always looked forward to camping at the “creek” when he would be there as well. Oh! The the stories , some of them even true, the humor, laughter, and fellowship that resulted from such occasions are some of my fondest memories. “Fletch” was caring, insightful, and just a real decent man who I was lucky enough to have known! So long, for now , my friend!

Condolence: “Fletch” was the same anytime I sam him; a big smile, friendly handshake, easy going conversation. I was band director at Central Gwinnett in the ‘70s when he was the vocational instructor and would stop in the vocational classroom occasionally to say hello. Sorry the world couldn’t keep him around any longer. His rock solid goodness was an inspiration for us all. Condolences to Sheryl and family.
