Ila Mae  Phillips
Ila Mae Phillips, 91, of Dawsonville passed away Friday February 16, 2018 at Grandview Healthcare Center following a period of declining health.
Born October 26, 1926 in Waycross, Georgia to the late Claude and Marie Lovett, she had lived in Dawson County since 1985 having moved from Clarkston. Mrs. Phillips took great pride in being a devoted homemaker, mother and friend. A member of Mr. Paran Church of God, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James D. Phillips, brothers and sisters, Marguerite Moore, C.W. Lovett, Alvin Lovett, Ruth Whayne, and Blanche Crider.
Surviving are her daughter and son in law, Sheila and Billy Sherwood, Dawsonville; grandson, Brandon Akins; great grandson, Bentley Akins; brother and sister in law, Carl and Louise Lovett, Alpharetta; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Sunday February 18, 2018 at 4 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Brian Haas will officiate.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 until 4 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia Chapter, 922 East Morris Street, Dalton, GA 30721.
