Elise S. Huffstetler, 89, of Dawsonville died Thursday August 5, 2010 at Gold City Convalescent Center following a period of declining health.
Born March 15, 1921 to the late Greene and Lila Stowers, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Mrs. Huffstetler was a seamstress for over 30 years with Sweet Orr, Hasco and retired from Warren Featherbone. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Huffstetler; sons, Russell Huffstetler, Richard Huffstetler; son in law, Ricky Grogan; daughter in law, Carolyn Huffstetler and several sisters and brothers.
Surviving are her children, Ted and Barbara Huffstetler, Dawsonville, Joy Grogan, Cumming, Jan and Norman Adkins, Gainesville; grandchildren, Derrick and Kelly Grogan, Wren and John Unger, Russell Huffstetler, Angela Adkins, Trevor Grogan; great grandchildren, Kayla Huffstetler, Timothy Ellis Grogan and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Sunday August 8, 2010 at 3 o’clock at Harmony Baptist Church. Rev. Joey Gilbert, Rev. Keith Allison and Rev. Gary Coffey will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends after 1 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
