Grover S. Anderson, 81, of Pickens County, formerly of Dawsonville died Thursday August 26, 2010 at Green Acres Nursing Center in Milledgeville following an extended illness.
Mr. Anderson was born December 12, 1928 in Lumpkin County to the late Grover and Florence Anderson. He owned and operated Andy’s Barber Shop in Atlanta until retiring in 1998. Grover was loved by everyone, was an avid outdoorsman who loved bicycling. He had a very outgoing personality, a great sense of humor and always had a fast Ford which was never caught by the revenuers.
Surviving are his sons and daughters in law, Daniel and Cindy Anderson, Milledgeville, Jerry and Michelle Anderson, Twin Falls, Idaho, Marvin and Josie Anderson, Cumming; grandchildren, Ricky, Shannon, Christopher, Jake, Bodie, Andy, Chase and Katty.
Funeral services will be held Monday August 30, 2010 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bobby Whitmire will officiate. Interment will follow in the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
