Obituary for Jeanne Foley
Jeanne Foley, 80, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday June 19, 2019 at The Phoenix at Lake Lanier following a period of declining health.
Born February 9, 1939 in Dushore, Pennsylvania to the late Edward and Amelia Barry, she and Mr. Foley bought al lake home in Dawson County in 1986 and became full time residents 19 years ago having moved from Marietta. Mrs. Foley worked many years as a nurse, mostly in emergency room care. Jeanne was an extremely devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid tennis player and enjoyed life on the lake. She was a member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church.
Surviving are her children, Linda Lackey, Dawsonville, Maureen and Jack Jones, Harrisburg, NC, Terry and Cindy Foley, Alpharetta; grandchildren, Nicole Goldsmith, Erica Watson, J. B. Jones, Tori Jones, Lauren Dwyer, Easton Foley, Erin Foley; three great grandchildren; sister and brother in law, Kathy and Bob Vitali, South Burlington, Vermont; and a number of other relatives.
A memorial mass will be held Saturday June 29, 2019 at 11 o’clock at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. Fr. Brian Higgins will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
