Obituary for Anne Marie Egan
Anne Marie Egan, 76, of Dawsonville, GA, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
Born on July 17, 1944 in Port Jervis, NY to Milfred and Josephine Gilbert, Anne was a resident of Georgia since 1977.
Anne is survived by her husband, Roger Egan of Dawsonville; Her sons, Fred Youngman (Nancy) of Lawrenceville; Tom Youngman (Sharon) of Tallahassee, FL; and David Youngman (Jennifer) of Norcross. Anne is also survived by her sister, Marilyn Freytag of Suffolk, VA and her brother, Michael Gilbert of Mesquite, TX. Stepchildren include Tasha Barton (Jay) of Hartwell; Meg Turpin (Justin) of Athens; and Stuart Egan (Laura) of Winston Salem, NC.
Anne was known as “Grammy” to nine grandchildren, Adam, Jonathan, Juliana, Samuel, Miriam, Emilia, Josephine, Felicity and Olivia. She was also known as “Step-Grammy” to Leeza, Nick, Evva, Delina, Dolan, Henry, Steven and Gray. She was also “Step-Great Grammy” to Vinny and Dominic.
Anne will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and loved ones at Bearden Funeral Home, Dawsonville, GA, at 10:30 am with a memorial at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 15, 2021. Guests will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
