Bessie Ray Crowe
Died September 29, 2020
Bessie Ray Crowe, 86, of Dawsonville moved into the eternal arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 29, 2020. Bessie Ray was born November 8, 1933 in Dawson County to William Wilson and Addie Elizabeth Evans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Fannie Mae Neisler.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, James Crowe; son and daughter-in-law Ken and Lori Crowe of Dawsonville, grandchildren Mary Beth Crowe and Kim (Nate) Flowers all of Charlotte, NC; sister, Ruby Dean Higgins of Cumming; in-laws Faye Swanson of Dawsonville, Jackie and Marie Johnson of Cumming, and Jimmy and Wanda Bruce of Dawsonville; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Bessie Ray was a doting wife, mother, and grandmother who adored her family above all else on this earth. James and Bessie Ray moved from Dawson County in 1958 following their marriage to live and work in several towns around Georgia before returning in 1989 to build their retirement home. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Cumming and active in the Jimmy Moore Sunday School Class. Bessie Ray leaves behind a priceless legacy of faith and family values for all who knew her to cherish.
Out of respect for the health and welfare of our community, a private service will be observed by the family with internment at Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming. Dr. Scott Gilbert and Rev. Ray Rhodes will officiate.

James, Ken and family, so sorry to hear of the passing of Bess. During mine and Sarah’s time knowing her in Augusta, I know she was a good wife and mother. With that she had to be a super grandparent. I pray for God’s comfort and peace for all of you.

Our hearts are heavy with the temporary loss of our dear friend Bess. Bess was a gentle, calm spirit who filled the room with her radiant presence. We miss her so much already. But as we grieve, we also rejoice that Bess is right now in the presence of her Heavenly Father, whom she loved and served.

We love you, dear Bess. We look forward to seeing you again.

James and the rest of the family, we love you, too, and we will be lifting you up in prayer. We pray that soon sweet memories will overshadow the grief and that God will give you supernatural strength to go on without Bess’s physical presence.

Much love, Jack, Mary, and Taylor (the Bransons)
