Mr. Chappell was my principal at New Holland Elementary and I have often thought of him over the last 55+ years. He was one of those people that passes through your life that you never forget because of the respect you have for them. My heart is sad for his family for their loss but also happy to know Mr. Chappell touched countless lives over the years and left a footprint that will last a very long time.
My deepest sympathies to the Chappell family and I pray God will wrap his loving arms around each one of you and give you comfort and strength during this very hard time.

I too was a student along with Elaine at New Holland School when Mr Chappell served as our principal for many years. He was a good man, a fair man and an honorable man. He was an absolutely wonderful role model for so many of us kids who lived in the New Holland are. Fly high Mr Chappell. Your work on earth is done. But we will always remember you smile and laughter. Gail Caudell Garrett
