Obituary for David Bruce
David Bruce, 72, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday November 4, 2020.
Born January 26, 1948 to the late Roscoe and Zoma Bruce, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Mr. Bruce was a retired welder and was a U. S. Army veteran of Vietnam. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Melvin Bruce and Jack Bruce.
Surviving are his companion, Roxanne Bruce, Dawsonville; children, Patty and Lisa Bruce, Palm Coast, FL, Shannon Bruce, Dawsonville, Melissa and Chris Harris, Lula; grandchildren, Erin Fernandes, Colton Johnson, Avery Johnson, Miranda Rogers, Chelsea Petit, Cody Reidling; great granddaughter, Audrey Fernandes; sisters and brothers in law, Dianne and Sonny Warwick, Dawsonville, Donna and David Nix, Dawsonville; brother and sisters in law, Clayton and Lynn Bruce, Dawsonville, Linda Bruce, Dawsonville; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Friday November 6, 2020 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tim Bennett will officiate. Interment will follow in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 until 8 at the funeral home.
