David Russell “Rusty” Parrott, 68, of Cumming passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022 at his residence following a sudden illness.
Born December 15, 1953 and raised in Kentucky, Rusty had been a resident of Forsyth County for the past 45 years. For almost 30 years he worked as a commercial truck driver with Sherwin Williams where he had driven over a million miles. He enjoyed classic rock and roll, deep sea fishing, and the outdoors. Those that knew him, know he was a walking encyclopedia and also an incredible carpenter and artist. Rusty had a huge heart and would give anyone the shirt off his back for any reason. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Parrott and father, Russell Parrott, and sister, Julia.
Surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Shannon Nahlik of Cumming, Angie and Rob Spooner of Gainesville, Ashlie and Brian Safian of Cumming; his treasured grandchildren, Gracie, Hudson, Kate, Macy; step-mother, Dorothy Parrott of Kentucky; brother and sister-in-law, Ben and Debbie Parrott of Alabama; sister, Jo-Jean Keller of Maine; life-long best friend, Joe Viterisi of Kentucky.
The family is planning a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
