Obituary for Debbie Walls

Debbie Walls, 64, of Cumming went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Northside Hospital Forysth following a brief illness.

Born June 17, 1958 and raised in Dawson County, Debbie had been a resident of Forsyth County for most of her life. A 1976 graduate of Dawson County High School, she worked for many years with Columbian Financial Group until her retirement in 2020. There were many people in Debbie’s life who she loved dearly but the absolute most important were her nieces and nephews. “Aunt De” was everyone’s biggest fan and had attended countless events and activities through the years. A devoted daughter, sister and friend, Debbie was a member of Coal Mountain Baptist Church and would always give to others before herself. Her friends, family and church family were the joy in her life and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Quinton “Bud” Walls and brothers, Sandy Walls and Jimmy Walls.

Surviving are her mother, Gracie Lou Walls of Dawsonville; sister, Lavon Waite of Cumming; sister-in-law, Torina Walls of Dawsonville; her beloved nieces and nephews who she treated as her children, Shay Walls, Levi Walls, Lance Walls, Logan Walls, Elizabeth Bell, Laura Waite, Frankie McCurry; other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gary Martin will officiate. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday December 6th from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Wednesday December 7th from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.
