Edna Pauline Stanley, 86 of Cumming, GA passed away peacefully on Monday, May 10, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born to the late Wansley Barto and Ida Estelle Gravitt. She was a member of High Shoals Baptist Church. She loved being outdoors, gardening and nature. She had a deep love for her family and enjoyed caring for them. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed dearly by all.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Stanley; son in law, Gary Hughes; brothers, Ford Gravitt, Willis Gravitt, Glenn Gravitt; sister, Barida Hurst.

She is survived by her children: Barbara Hughes of Cumming, GA, Linda and Barry Hill of Cumming, GA, Gail and Paul Chapman of Charlotte, NC, Hope Merrill of Canton, GA; grandchildren: Farah Hughes (Jason) of Canton, GA, Patrick Hughes of Cumming, GA, Ginger Ivy of Denver, CO, Christopher Ivy (Kristen) of Sedalia, CO, Anna Chapman of Charlotte, NC, Katelyn Chapman of Chapel Hill, NC, Jym Chapman (Leigh) of Jasper, GA, Mary Chapman (Austin) of Gettysburg, PA, Sara Chapman of Charlotte, NC, Benjamin Cork, III of Marietta, GA, Zachary Cork of Marietta, GA; great grandchildren: Alycia Hill of Tallapoosa, AL, Tessa Ivy of Sedalia, CO; sister, Dorothy Nell Gist (Ray Brown) of Ball Ground, GA; sisters in law, Dot Gravitt, Mary Gravitt; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel, Dawsonville, GA, with the Reverend Danny Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens, Cumming, GA.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
