Obituary for Frances Woody
Frances Woody, 84, of Dawsonville passed away Friday, April 14, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born April 21, 1938 to the late Lee and Claudine Skinner in Forsyth County, Frances had been a resident of Dawson County for 56 years. A member of Liberty Baptist Church, she retired as the office manager for Mark Heard Fuel Company in Dawsonville with over 25 years of service. Frances was very devoted to her family and her greatest enjoyment was gardening and grandchildren.
Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Charles Woody; brothers, Austin Skinner, Aubrey Skinner; sisters, Betty Bennett, Sara Loggins.
Surviving are her sons and daughters in law, Michael and Tracey Woody, Steven and Ellen Woody, all of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Kyle and Erika Woody, Kevin and Lauren Woody, Alyss Woody and Taylor Drinko, Joshua and Nicole Woody, Connor Woody; great-grandchildren, Laila, Rhett, Hampton and Hazel Woody, Carsynn Bourrie, Miloh Drinko, Ollie Drinko, Ezra Woody; brothers, Winford Skinner, David Skinner, Wendell Skinner; sisters, Hazel Dover, Joan Woodruff; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 17, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church. Rev. Jason Hamby and Rev. Dennis Bottoms will officiate. Interment will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Monday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
