Obituary for Gaile Wigington Pearce
Gaile Wigington Pearce, 72, of Dahlonega passed away at her residence on Monday July 27, 2020 following a period of declining health.
Born May 16, 1948, Gaile lived most of her life in Dawsonville and had been a resident of Dahlonega for the past 10 years. An excellent cook and avid reader, she enjoyed crafting and gardening. Gaile was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church in Dawsonville. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Pearce, parents, Elmer and Juanita Wigington, and siblings, June, Jimmy, Larry, and Don.
Surviving are her children, Stephanie Welch, Dahlonega, Jerry and Pam Ray, Dawsonville, Rebecca “Becky” Cooke Garmon, Dahlonega, Nathan Cooke, Douglasville; sister, Mary Lisenby, Dawsonville; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her beloved dog, Daisy Mae; many other relatives.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 1, 2020 at 3 p.m. at Sweetwater Baptist Church in Dawsonville.
