Howard Donald Murdoch, Jr., 79 of Marietta, GA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, after a brief illness. He was born in Hattiesburg, MS to the late Howard and Effie May Murdoch. He was a member of North Roswell Baptist Church. He retired after 25 plus years as a master plumber. He had a passion for fishing, hunting, photography, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He really loved to get on his motorcycle and head to the mountains for day of riding. If you ever need a helping hand all you had to do was ask him and he would be there to help.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Brooks Murdoch and his sister, Mary Moyer.

He is survived by his children, Donald Ray Murdoch of Marietta, GA, Frances JoAnna and Mark Pettyjohn of Dawsonville, GA, Vickie Carol of Lithonia, GA, Susan and Eric Edwards of Dawsonville, GA, Derek Boyd of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Kristian, Lance, Brittany, Alexandria, Ashley, Jared, and Nick; 19 great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel, Dawsonville, GA, with the Reverend Ray Gober officiating. Interment will follow the funeral at 2:30 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery, Roswell, GA.

The family will receive friends on Friday, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
