Obituary for Imogene Bruce

Imogene Bruce, 83, of Forsyth County passed away Thursday May 26, 2022 at her residence following a period of declining health.
Born May 29, 1938, Imogene had been a resident of Forsyth County most of her life. A member of Christian Hill Baptist Church, she retired from International Paper Company following over 30 years of service. Imogene was very devoted to her family and enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, and cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Aline Grogan; sisters, Eveline Hinson, Grace Chambers, Annie Bell Grogan; brother, Lewis Grogan.
Surviving are her husband, Donald Leroy Bruce of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Angela Jean Savage (Michael Lynn), Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, John Wayne Bruce (Tammy Renee), Dawsonville; grandchildren, Gunter Lee Bruce (Maleesha), Alva, FL, Kody Savage (Heather), Gainesville, Kevin Savage (Dawn), Gainesville; great-grandchildren, Dawson Bruce, Kayson Bruce; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday May 28, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Leonard W. Ridings and Rev. Richard Picklesimer will officiate. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the service hour.
