James C. Reeves, 85, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 following a period of declining health.
Born March 5, 1936 to the late Albert and Essie Reeves, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. James was a retired poultry and cattle farmer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outdoors, gospel music and was very devoted to the family and his faith. A dedicated member of New Life Church of God, he was also preceded in death by his great grandsons, Gabriel and Barrett Pellini; sisters, Louise Barron, Ruby Jean Ray; and brothers, Raymond Reeves, Edward Reeves, Paul Reeves, and Richard Reeves.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Edna Reeves, Dawsonville; children, Carol and Terry Borton, Scottsdale, AZ, Mike and Susan Reeves, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Cody and Jake Reeves, Nicole and Freddie Pellini; great grandchildren, Jace Reeves, Hollis Reeves, Reyna Pellini; sisters and brother in law, Isabelle Wilson, Cumming, Maggie Kent, Gainesville, Betty and Jan Cooley, Gainesville; sister in law, Betty Reeves, Gainesville; brother in law, Ken Ray, Gainesville; a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family of Mr. Reeves is planning a private service.
