Obituary for James Christopher
James Christopher, 66, of Dahlonega passed away Monday November 23, 2020 at his residence.
Born January 24, 1954 in Duluth, Georgia to the late Ernest and Desser Christopher, he had lived in Lumpkin County for the past 7 years having moved from Dawson County. Mr. Christopher retired from General Motors following 32 years of service. James was very devoted to his family and was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Christopher; and a grandson, Will Hester. James was a member of Harvest Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Donna Christopher, Dahlonega; children, Kevin and Carrie Christopher, Dahlonega, Scott Hendricks, Dahlonega, Robin Hester, Dawsonville, Amy and Shane Hester, Dawsonville; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters and brother in law, Mary Alice Poteet, Gainesville; Carolyn and Albert Harrison, Braselton; brothers and sisters in law, Gary and Dianne Christopher, Dawsonville, Roy and Valerie Christopher, Cumming, Harold Christopher, Georgia; and a number of other relatives.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday November 25, 2020 at 2 o’clock at Dawsonville Memorial Gardens. Rev. Mark Biddy will officiate.
