Obituary for James "Jim" Dale Browning

James Dale Browning passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at home after a long
battle with cancer. A 35-year resident of Dawsonville, he is survived by his wife Linda. Children, Dale (Katie) Browning, Park City, Utah; Debra Browning of Key West, Florida; Deedra (David) Smith of Toano, Virginia; Marcie (Freddy) Hughes of Dawsonville. Sean (Stella) Browning of Atlanta. 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by a son Bradley Coots, a grandson Bradley Seibler, and a great grandson William Roy Trent, Jr. Brothers Gerald Browning, Jack (Judy) Browning, and sister Carol White all of Bluefield, Virginia. And many other relatives and friends.

Jim was an avid bass fisherman spending many hours on the water. He fished both local and FLW tournaments for a number of years and spent hours fishing with the DCHS fishing team.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Ricky Mincey Officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday, from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in his memory be
made to the Dawson County High School Fishing Club % Linda Browning.
