Obituary for James "Jim" Thomas Hayden Sr.
James Thomas “Jim” Hayden, Sr., 58, of Gainesville passed away Wednesday April 21, 2021 at Seasons Hospice following an extended illness.
Born May 29, 1962 in New York and previously of Hartwell, Georgia, Jim had been a resident of Gainesville for the past two years. For many years he worked as a welder, building overhead cranes. Jim enjoyed watching NASCAR and Wrestling and leaves behind his beloved dog, Odie. He was a simple man, loving husband and father, who was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Nellie Hayden and siblings, Wenda Duncan, Robert “Bob” Hayden.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Lisa Hayden of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Jeff Vanzura of Blairsville; son, James Thomas Hayden, Jr. of Gainesville; siblings, June Hayden of New York, Jack Hayden of New York, Jane Martin of Georgia; grandsons, Grayson and Dylan; nieces, nephews, other relatives.
A memorial visitation will be held at Bearden Funeral Home on Saturday April 24, 2021 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
