In 32 years of teaching school, I have been blessed so many times to have worked with and known the young people that I have. If you are having trouble seeing Jesus, you need to pay more attention to the children. Jeremy was in high school when I was the Assistant Principal at DCHS. You could not ask for a nicer, more respectful student. My duties included discipline and at a high school, that can be a challenge most days. I saw Jeremy most everyday but not in my office. I would see him in the hallways, the classrooms, at lunch, etc...all the expected places. What I always saw was a young man with respect for himself and for others. He laughed and worked to make something of himself. My heart is broken as I write these thoughts. He was a walking testimony to what parents can do to influence their children. I will miss him and the world will miss him. I do not understand tragedies like this but I know the man who holds the ones who love him and that helps me a whole lot. We will keep you in our prayers.
Love and Prayers, Jadie Davis.
