John Anthony Dotson, 74, of Dawsonville, GA passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020 at his residence after an extended illness. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Dawsonville, GA and the Dawsonville Masonic Lodge #222 F&AM. John also was a veteran of the United States Airforce.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dianne Dotson, and daughters, Rachel Elizabeth Dotson and Rebecca Olivia Dotson, of Dawsonville, GA; sister, Jane Rocker of Statesboro, GA; nieces and nephews, Rhonda Rocker of Statesboro, GA, Rita Rocker of Atlanta, GA, Renita and Dennis Davis of Hahira, GA, April and David Cole of Hiram, GA, and Brandon and Jessica Miles of Omaha, NE; sisters in law and brothers in law, Denise and John Farley of Roswell, GA, Beth Hesling and Calvin Miles of Bartlesville, OK; and numerous other relatives survive.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 5,2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel, with the Dr. David Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA, will be held on June 10, 2021 at 11:30 a.m.
