John Emmitt Talley, 89, a longtime Dawsonville resident, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at his son’s home in Alexandria, VA. He was born in Gainesville, GA to the late Robert Warren and Audie Jane Talley. He retired from the Lockheed Corporation after 30 plus years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Frieda Talley of Alexandria, VA; son, Randy Talley (Spouse: Ann) of Alexandria, VA; grandson, Alex Talley (Spouse: Kate) of Alexandria, VA; granddaughter, Jessica Talley of Alexandria, VA; two great grandchildren, Maxwell Charles Talley and Samuel Emmitt Talley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A Service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Bearden Funeral Home, with internment to follow at the Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
