Johnny Dwight Elrod, 62, of Forsyth County, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Cartersville, GA. on October 28, 1959, to Bobby and Annie D. Elrod. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Elrod; Sister, Denise Fuller; Daughters, Jennifer Tippins, Brittany Velazquez, and Abigail Elrod. He had three grandchildren, Kolby, Benn, and Emerson.
Johnny was a generous man with a servant’s heart. A devoted husband and loving father. He spent the greater part of his life providing for his family and serving his church through ministry. He surrounded his family and friends with unconditional love and laughter until the very end. He allowed the love of Christ to shine through him. Johnny loved Andy Griffith, quality time with family, and being in the mountains.
Arrangements are being handled by Bearden’s Funeral Home in Dawsonville, GA. Johnny will be cremated and then his life will be celebrated with a memorial service at Chestatee Worship Center, 2057 Dawson Forest Road East, Dawsonville, GA. 30534 at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 29th, 2022. His bright smile and sense of humor will be missed by many.
