Obituary for Kathryn "Kathy" Mote
Kathryn “Kathy” Mote, 78, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021.
Born December 13,1942 in Dawson County to the late Rainey, Sr. and Nora Neal, she lived most of her life in Lumpkin County. A homemaker at her death, she was formerly employed by Gainesville Manufacturing after which she worked with her husband operating Thomas Mote Trucking. Kathy was an avid sports fan and enjoyed reading, travel, and cooking. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas B. Mote, and a sister, Joyce Neal.
Surviving are her children, Jason Mote, Dawsonville, Ansley and Craig Maxfield, Dawsonville; sister and brother in law, Judy and Carroll Walls, Dawsonville; brothers and sister in law, Rainey H., Jr. and Rosalyn Neal, Flowery Branch, Danny Neal, Oakwood; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 12, 2021 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tony Neal will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 until 7 at the funeral home.
