Obituary for Ken Irby
Ken Irby, 77, of Gainesville, GA, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022. He was born in Sumter, SC to the late Reuben and Kathryn Irby. Ken served his country in the United States Air Force and retired from AT&T. He was a longtime member of Chestatee Masonic Lodge #102 F & AM as well as Bethel United Methodist Church. Ken loved fishing.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Bill Irby and brother, Reuben Irby.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Doris D. Irby of Gainesville, GA; stepchildren, Patti Deal of Shreveport, LA, Tony Martin of Gidding, TX and Steve Martin of Dawsonville, GA; nephews, Mark Irby and Todd Irby both of Marietta, GA; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. with the remains placed in state at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church with Dr. David Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
