My husband and I met Larry and Lodene in 2002 at the University of Chicago Hospital. My husband, Pat Hennessy and Larry were both being treated for cancer. Pat and Larry fought this battle together with great humor. Lodene and I were their support team and we bonded during the mutual suffering. One of Larry's funniest lines during the worst of the treatment: "It's a good thing the windows in this hospital are locked down, we'd all be jumping out!" He kept us laughing during the entire ordeal. Larry and Lodene were a wonderful and loving team and we are deeply sorry to hear of this terrible loss.
Lodene, please call if you would like to reconnect. We think of you often. 708-921-4261.
With sadness,
Pat and Mary Rose Hennessy

Please accept my deepest sympathy on Larry's passing. I hope your good memories of him will comfort you in your grief. I had the pleasure of working with Larry many decades ago in his capacity as an independent adjuster for L.J. Shaw, a great group of professionals in the insurance industry. He will be missed. To Lodene and your family,
We were sad to read about my old friend Larry in the Chicago Tribune. We shared time and antics together in the Marine Corps Reserves. Then in later years we met you as all three of us worked at United Airlines headquarters office and put the connection together with you and Larry. We send our sympathy now, but may your happy memories bring you comfort.
With our sympathy, Paul and Mary Lee Tinebra
