Larry Eugene Towns, 65, of Dawsonville GA went home to Jesus Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Born May 20, 1957 to the late Alton and Ann Towns, he had been a Dawsonville resident since 1996. Larry previously worked at Ace Hardware, onto computer work with ADP for 22 years. later becoming a home builder and completed his career working with the Dawson County School System in maintenance. Larry also served his community for many years, a strong man of God and the best friend anyone could hope for.
Larry has always possessed a great desire to help others. He enjoyed hunting, camping, being an umpire, and spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren
Surviving Larry are his wife, Linda Towns; son, Zach Towns, his wife Ashley and son, Tucker; daughter, Tiffany Towns, her husband Noah and their two daughters, Nora and Abby and son, Theo; sister, Melinda Brooks Landrum, her husband, Bobby and their children, Wes, Amy, Robin, Katie and a number of other relatives.
Memorial services will be held Monday, November 7, 2022 at 3 o’clock at War Hill Church, 8847 Hwy 53, Dawsonville, GA 30534. Pastor Rodney Allen will officiate. Casual attire, the family recommends wearing camouflage to celebrate Larry’s passion for hunting.
A meal following the service for close friends and family will be held on site following the service. The War Hill Staff will direct to location
