Obituary for Marjorie Crane

Marjorie Crane, 86, of Dawsonville took her heavenly flight on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at home following a short illness. Born November 21, 1936, Marjorie had been a resident of Dawson County all her life. She was a home maker most of her life. Marjorie was loved and cherished by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was the true meaning of love behind her family. Marjorie loved her church family as well, she was a Member of Mill Creek Baptist church for many years, she is most remembered by her wonderful singing voice.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents Herbert Dean Crawford and Eunice Crawford, brother Robert (Booty) Crawford, sister-in-law, Opal Crawford Barron, and several other brother and sister in laws.

Surviving is her husband of 71 years, Carl Dean Crane of the residence, children and spouses, Ronnie Crane (Cheryl), Shelia Brooksher (Dennis), Robin Chandler (Tom), Tracy Barrett (Chad), Jason Crane (Maranda) all of Dawsonville. Her very loved grandchildren, Trent Crane (Holly), Carrie Rucker (Chuck) of Lumpkin County, Shelley Brooksher, John-Michael Brooksher, Joshua Tatum (Kassi) of Dawson County, Colby Crane (Keri) of Cherokee County, Taylor Barrett (Kelly) of Lumpkin County, Chloe Barrett of Dawson County, Lydia Caine (Mason) of Lumpkin County and Karley Crane of Dawson County. Also 15 great grandchildren, several sister in laws and niece's and nephew's.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Mill Creek Baptist church. Rev. Jack Pilcher, Rev. Tim Pruitt and Rev. Jason Crane will officiate. Interment will follow at the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.
