Mary Ann Freeman passed peacefully from this world with her children by her side on January 13, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Claude W. Freeman, her sister Katie Ruth Meek, and her mother Effie Ruth Meek.
Mary Ann was born on July 29, 1933 in Talapoosa, Georgia and spent the last 30 years of her life a resident of Dawsonville, Georgia. She loved playing bridge, dancing, boating on Lake Lanier, and spending time on the beaches of Daytona and Ft. Myers Florida. She was a member of several ladies clubs and cherished her many friends.
She is survived by her children, Michael Freeman and wife Dee Dee of Gallatin Tennessee, Marsha Freeman of Dawsonville, and Mona Freeman Schroeder and husband Brad of New Braunfels, Texas. Grandchildren Lindsay Greenwood, Bryant Freeman, Brent Freeman, Derek Ruffner, Annalee Lacy, Brookley Schroeder, and Brady Schroeder as well as 14 great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held February 12, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Bethel United Methodist Church in Dawsonville Georgia with visitation and reception to immediately follow.
