Obituary for Mescal Evans

Mescal Evans, 83, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday March 21, 2020 at Chestnut Ridge Nursing Center.
Born June 22, 1936 in Miami, Florida to the late Robert and Elsie Youngblood, she lived in Dawson County most of her life. Mescal was employed at Sweet Orr for several years and had also worked as a bookkeeper for Mark Heard Fuel Company, Petrolane Gas Company and worked with her son at Evans Garbage Service. Mescal enjoyed reading and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, G. W. Evans.
Surviving are her children, Joyce and Larry Greenway, Dahlonega, Cindy and Elmer Clark, Gainesville, Tim and Cindy Evans, Dawsonville, Mike Evans, Dawsonville, Jeff and Denise Evans, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Lauranda and Chris Law, Danielle and Hugo Justinaino, Tabatha and Sol Marado, Kristi and Kenneth Sanders, Tim Evans, Jr., Jonathan and Jessi Evans, Jacob and Lamour Evans, Forrest and Becky Evans, Macy Evans; 10 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister, Kay Payne, Virginia; and a number of other relatives.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
