Obituary for Randall Vaughters

Randall Vaughters, 68, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday January 29, 2022 at his residence surrounded by family and friends following a brief illness.
Born February 17, 1953, Randall had been a resident of Dawsonville for most of his life. He spent his career as a truck driver and had travelled across the country many times. Randall had a great love of the outdoors and especially enjoyed hiking, river trips and spending time with his family and many friends. He was a loving father and preceded in death by his parents, George and Beatrice Vaughters; son in law, SGT Mark Johnson IV; brother-in-law, Wayne McCord; nephew, David McCord.
Surviving are his daughters, Christi (Scott) Thompson of Cumming, Jennifer (Curtis) Stover of Ellijay, Haley Johnson of Clermont; sisters, Becky McCord of Dawsonville, Cindy Vaughters (Ron Poole) of Ellijay; brother, Donald (Becky) Vaughters of Blairsville; grandchildren, Matthew, Bennett, Lannah, Emma, Nate, Noah, Liam; a number of beloved nieces and nephews; other relatives.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Juno Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Brody Hughes, Rev. Tim Biddy, Rev. Dennis Bottoms and Rev. Harold McCord will officiate.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in support of Rodney Castleberry and family for his continued medical expenses.
