Obituary for Robert Malcolm Meredith

Robert Malcolm Meredith, 82, of Dawsonville died on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.
He was born on April 4, 1940 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Malcolm Johnson and Merle May Meredith. Bob attended the University of Georgia where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He served as a Special Investigator in the United States Army Intelligence stationed in Raleigh, North Carolina where he met and married his wife, Mary Emerson, on March 19, 1966. Upon his discharge, he was employed as an Operating Manager at Sears Catalog Distribution Centers in Greensboro, North Carolina and Jacksonville, Florida until his retirement in 1991 when he and his wife retired to Dawsonville, Georgia. Bob was a member of the Church of the Apostles, Dawsonville, where he supervised the building of the sanctuary.
He is survived by his wife, Mae Meredith, Dawsonville; brothers and sister in law, Gilbert B. and Bonnie Meredith, Ronald J. Meredith; much loved nieces and nephews, Brin Meredith (Pagent), Morgan Tjepkema (Wes); along with great nieces and nephews, Gil Meredith, III, Anna Meredith, Meredith Tjepkema and Warner Tjepkema.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
