Rodney “Rod” Wiley Gee, 68, of Cleveland, GA, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023. He was born in Burford, GA to Wiley and Mildred Gee. Rod owned and operated Gee’s Construction Company for over 40 years. He raced at Lanier Raceway for many years and was a longtime member of Harmony Baptist Church. Rod loved hunting, fishing, and NASCAR.

He is preceded in death by his father, Wiley Gee; brother, Nolan Gee and niece, Kelly Lee Gee.

Rod is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Melissa Gee of Dawsonville, GA; mother, Mildred Wilkerson, Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Emory Jones of Cleveland, GA, brothers and sisters-in-law, Eddie and Peggy Gee of Cumming, GA and Aaron and Janice Gee of Cumming; sister-in-law, Virginia Gee of Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren, Rodney Michael Gee of Cleveland. GA, Brian Gee of Dawsonville, GA and Natalie and Jordan Waddell of Dawsonville, GA; great-grandchildren, Tanner Gee and Harper Waddell; nephews, James Gee of Dawsonville, GA, Joey Gee of Cumming, GA, Jonathan Gee of Cumming, GA and Lynn Gee of Cumming; niece, Marla Chadwick of Dawsonville; numerous other extended family.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, 8975 Bethel Road, Gainesville, GA 30506 with Rev. Bobby Whitmire officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 12, 2023, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
