Obituary for Roy Rhodenhiser III
Roy B. Rhodenhiser III, 80, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday June 22, 2019.
Born November 7, 1938, he had been a resident of Dawson County for 24 years. Mr. Rhodenhiser was a veteran of the US Army National Guard and retired from the CDC after 20 years of service. A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, he was an avid reader. Roy was an active member of Christ The Redeemer Catholic Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Jr. and Edith Rhodenhiser and sister, Carole Rhodenhiser.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Elaine Rhodenhiser of Dawsonville; children, Roy IV and Linda Rhodenhiser of Kentucky, Terri and Lanier Ray of Jasper; grandchildren, Jennifer, David, Jessie; other relatives.
A memorial service will be held on Friday June 28, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Christ The Redeemer Catholic Church in Dawsonville. Fr. Brian Higgins will officiate.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christ The Redeemer Catholic Church’s Building Fund. Checks may be sent to Christ The Redeemer Catholic Church, 991 Kilough Church Rd., Dawsonville, GA 30534.
