Obituary for Russell Fields
Russell Fields, 87, of Dawsonville passed away Monday January 6, 2020 at Northside Forsyth Hospital.
Born July 18, 1932 in Brookhaven, Georgia to the late Arthur and Lola Fields, he had had lived in Dawson County for the past 35 years having moved from Port Orange, Florida. Mr. Fields was a retired brick and rock mason. He was an avid fisherman and hunter but also enjoyed NASCAR and the Atlanta Braves. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Max Fields and Harold Fields.
Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Heidi Fields, Dawsonville; children, David Fields, Dawsonville, Rusty Fields, Buford, Judy Fields, Marietta, Rick Fields, Buford, Beth Hartley, Flowery Branch, Jennifer and Eric Burgess, Dawsonville; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sister, Faye Pritchett, Dawsonville; and a number of other relatives.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday January 8, 2020 at 1 o’clock at Arlington Memorial Park. Rev. Chris Pritchett will officiate.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 3 until 8 at the funeral home.
