Obituary for Seaborn Winfred "Chris" Christopher
Seaborn Winfred “Chris” Christopher, 95, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday October 22, 2020.
Born September 20, 1925 in Forsyth County to the late Seaborn C. and Gladys Christopher, he had lived in Dawsonville since 2002. He had formerly lived in East Point, Alpharetta and Ashville, NC. Mr. Seaborn was a retired Captain with the City of Atlanta Fire Department with over 30 years of service. He was also formerly employed with the City of Atlanta Board of Education. Chris was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran of WW II where he served in the Pacific Theater. A member of the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Christopher.
Surviving are his daughters and sons in law, Sharon and Bobby Bryant, Rockwell, NC, Carol and Randy Medlock, Dawsonville, Lori and Doug Haney, Dallas, TX; sister and brother in law, Kathleen and Hubert Moody, Cumming; brother and sister in law, Ralph and Janice Christopher, Cumming; grandchildren, Robyn and Scott Ovrick, Cindy and George Vlahos, Tim and Angie Moss, Stephen and Courtney Moss, Christopher Haney, Meredith and Shawn Roode, Donna and Jack Canada; and nineteen great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Sunday October 25, 2020 at 3 o’clock at Greenlawn Cemetery in Roswell, GA. Dr. Jim Gaines and Rev. Dustin Gillespie will officiate.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville, 900 Highway 9 North, Dawsonville, GA 30534.
