Susie Summerour Coleman, 79, of Dawsonville, GA Moved into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Oct 24,2020. Susie was born on May l8, 1941 in Dawson County to the late Henry Clay and Irma Belle Summerour. Susie was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, Dawsonville, GA and was a resident of Atlanta for over 30 years. She retired after 17 years of service as a data processor for Cotton States and was formerly employed by Southern Bell. Susie possessed a love for the elderly and special needs children and enjoyed spending time with them and assisting them. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her sisters, Juanita Wood, Mary Carol Crymes; brothers, John L. Summerour, Dr William Franklin Summerour, Douglas Summerour. Clay Summerour.

She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Traci and Larry Woods of Canton, GA; sisters and brother in law, Oletta Jones of Chattanooga, TN, Barbara Jean and Ted Huffstetler of Dawsonville, GA; brother and sisters in law, Renae Summerour of Waring, TX, Russel and Cheryl Summerour of Hartwell, GA; grandchildren, Joshua (Deanne) Walker, McKenzi (Justin) Farris, Sam (Brandi) Woods, Sally Woods; great grandchildren, Kennedi Farris, Finley Woods; special great niece, Caroline Haufler; and numerous other relatives survive.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, October 26, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dawsonville City Cemetery, with the Reverend Joey Gilbert officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Susie will live on in my heart forever. I loved Sister Susie (as I called her). May God’s Peace and Comfort be with you at this difficult time. Till we all meet Sister Susie again at Jesus’ feet! What a glorious day that’ll be!
