Tony Horace Buckner, 72, of Dawsonville, GA passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, December 03, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Atlanta, GA to the late, Horace Allen and Julia Marie Buckner. He retired as a diesel mechanic after 53 years. Tony was an avid storyteller that loved the lake, outdoor activities, and trail riding with his friends on their atv’s. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Mary Tritt of Dawsonville, GA; stepchildren, Annette and Roger Bryant of Dawsonville, GA, Kim and Tony Blocker of Dothan, AL; grandchildren, Logan, Tanner, Ashton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick and Cathy Buckner of Lilburn, GA, Wayne and Marlea Buckner of Lawrenceville, GA; sister, Barbara Waits of Lawrenceville, GA; and numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Sterling Long officiating. Interment will follow the funeral at Dawsonville Memorial Gardens, Dawsonville, GA.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
