Obituary for Wayne "Harpo" Padgett

Wayne “Harpo” Padgett, 78, of Dawsonville, GA passed away Tuesday January 12, 2021 at his residence.
Born November 3, 1942 in Charleston, South Carolina to the late Charles and Catherine Padgett, he had lived in Dawsonville for the past 3 years after having lived in Smyrna for many years. Mr. Padgett worked in the Trade Show Exhibit industry and was formerly employed in quality control with Boeing where he worked on the Saturn Project which landed a man on the moon. He was a U. S. Coast Guard veteran and was a founding member of GOBeyond Charities (formerly known as the Good Ol’ Boys). Wayne was also a founding member of the Cape Kennedy Corvette Club, enjoyed restoring automobiles and trucks, and boating. He enjoyed people and was always the life of the party. Also preceeding him in death were a son, Kevin Padgett; sisters, Kay Tritatow, Sharon Rose; and a brother, Robert Padgett.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Brenda Padgett, Dawsonville; daughter and son in law, Sherry and Gabriel Moon, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Maximos Moon, Kayleigh Moon, Makayle Moon; brother and sister in law, Paul and Sue Hinson, Walterboro, SC.
At his request, Mr. Padgett will be cremated.
