William “Willie” Rider, 56, of Dawsonville, GA passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022, at NEGA Medical Center, Gainesville, GA. He was born in Dawsonville, GA, to Chick and Patsy Rider. He worked in Sanitation Services with Evans Garbage Service, in Dawsonville for many years. He had a fond love of Nascar.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Moulder Rider; father, Chick Rider; and brother, Tim Rider.

He is survived by his mother, Patsy Rider of Dahlonega, GA; children, Andrew Rider, Joseph Rider, Casey Rider, Cody Rider, Amanda Rider, Jacob Rider all of Dawsonville, GA; brother, Tim and Lindsay White of Dawsonville, GA; Sisters, Ellen and Jeff Mooney of Lawrenceville, GA, Molly and Bobby Bettis of Marietta, GA, Roxanne Glaze of Dahlonega, GA; life partner, Peggy Payne of Dawsonville, GA; and numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Harold Bottoms officiating. Interment will follow the funeral at Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery, Dawsonville, GA.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
