Obituary for Zelma Mae Lewis

Zelma Mae Lewis, 73, of Cumming passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born July 24, 1949, Zelma previously resided in Dawsonville and had been a resident of Forsyth County for over 10 years. A member of Trinity Baptist Church in Dawsonville, she worked as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for 20 years until her retirement. Zelma was a talented artist and had a successful Christmas craft business, “Jolly Jaws & Jingle Toes” for many years. She loved to garden and loved her family most of all. Zelma was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Lola Mae Marshall; husband, James A. “Jimmy” Lewis; twin-sister, Velma Mae Bennett; brother, Wade Richard “W.R.” Marshall.
Surviving are her children, Robin and Billy Burge of Cumming, Amy Arons and Michael Smith of Cumming; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Dwight Hansard of Milton; brother-in-law, Ricky Bennett of Talking Rock; sister-in-law, Karen Marshall of Illinois; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
A memorial visitation will be held at Bearden Funeral Home on Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
