Obituary for Marie Beck

Marie  Beck
Marie Beck, 77, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday May 20, 2014 at her residence following a period of declining health.
Born October 31, 1936 to the late Howard and Edith Summerour Reeves, she always lived in the Dawson County area. Marie was employed at Sweet Orr for 35 years after which she worked several years with her sisters at Burt’s Pumpkin Farm. She was of the Baptist faith and was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Leonard Beck; grandson, Toby Beck; and brothers, David Reeves and Ernest Reeves.
Surviving are her children, Vicki and Kenneth Graham, Rita and Bobby Kittle, Howard and Jody Beck, all of Dawsonville; sisters and brothers in law, Meretta and Dean Thompson, Brevard, NC, Margaret Payne, Dawsonville, Ethel Samples, Dawsonville, Glenda and David Collins, Gainesville, Kathy and Johnny Burt, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Jill Graham, Keith Graham, Danielle and Aaron Strickland, Jeremy and Jessica Kittle, Jerry Croy, Jamie Croy, Kayla Croy; and number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 23, 2014 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Russell Burt and Rev. Danny Park will officiate. Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 until 8 at the funeral home.
