Obituary for Wayne Painter

Wayne  Painter
Wayne Painter, 72, of Dahlonega passed away Friday July 11, 2014 at his residence following a period of declining health.
Born November 5, 1941 in Dawson County to the late Charlie and Lola Painter, he lived in Lumpkin County for the past 27 years having moved from Gainesville. Mr. Painter retired as a mechanical engineer in the poultry industry after over 40 years of service. He was a U. S. Army veteran of Viet Nam and was also preceded in death by a sister, Annie Lou Wilson, and brothers, J. C. Painter and Dallas Painter.
Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Dianna Boone Painter, Dahlonega; children, Tracy Painter Rogers, Homer, Stacy Wayne Painter, Jefferson; grandchildren, Bailey Rogers, Bre Rogers, Kade Rogers, Kooper Rogers; brother, Jerry Painter, Dawsonville; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Monday July 14, 2014 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Bo Robinson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 until 8 at the funeral home.
