Obituary for Jama Moore Evans

Jama Moore Evans, 81, of Dawsonville passed away Monday November 10, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a period of declining health.
Born April 12, 1933 in Maryville, Tennessee, she lived most of her life in Dawson County. A homemaker at her death, Mrs. Evans was a former supervisor at Sweet Orr and continued working in sewing facilities until her retirement. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years, J. L. Evans, Dawsonville; son and daughter in law, Kenneth and Penny Evans, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Jessica and Terry Beck, Kimberly Howard, Luke Evans and Tina; great grandchildren, Dixie Scruggs, Destiney Shirley, Tori Beck, Clayton, Beck, Vincent Beck; sister and brother in law, Ruth and Edwin Looper, Dawsonville; brother and sister in law, Hugh and Louise Moore, Cumming; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Thursday November 13, 2014 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Shannon Westbrook and Rev. Leonard W. Ridings will officiate. Interment will follow in the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:30 until 9 at the funeral home.
