Obituary for Ricky Jenkins

Ricky  Jenkins
Ricky Jenkins, 56, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday February 3, 2015 at his residence following an extended illness.
Born April 14, 1958 in Marietta, GA to the late Junior and Louise Jenkins, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 38 years having moved from Cumming. Ricky worked many years as a commercial truck driver and was a member of Christian Hill Baptist Church. He was also preceded death by his first wife, Donna Jenkins and a son, Shane Jenkins.
Surviving are his wife of 18 years, Faye Jenkins, Dawsonville; children, Shannon Evans, Cumming, Stacey and Josh Coker, Dawsonville, Brandy Jenkins, Dawsonville, Casey Gauldin, Acworth, William Gauldin, San Antonio, TX, Rachel and James Holbrook, San Antonio; seventeen grandchildren; sisters and brothers in law, Donna and Bill Bennett, Dawsonville, Sherry and Eddie Waters, Dawsonville, Lisa and Mike Waters, Dawsonville; brothers and sisters in law, Danny and Edna Jenkins, Gainesville, David and Kay Jenkins, Dahlonega, Steven and Chris Jenkins, Cumming; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday February 7, 2015 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Barry Payne, Rev. Rex Byrd and Rev. Carroll Pruitt will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 until 8 and all day Friday at the funeral home.
