Obituary for Jerry Waters

Jerry  Waters
Jerry Waters, 68, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday May 10, 2015 at the Atlanta Medical Center.
Born January 23, 1947 to the late Vearl and Flara Waters, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Jerry retired as a driver for Allied Trucking after 29 years of service and he also owned and operated a poultry and cattle farm. He enjoyed salmon fishing, travel and RV camping. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by his children, Raymond Jerry “Ray” Waters, Jr. and Andrea Waters-Graham; and brothers, James Waters and Johnny Waters.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Button Waters, Dawsonville; son and daughter in law, David and Heather Waters, Dawsonville; stepson and daughter in law, Michael and Joy Cooper, Austell; brother and sisters in law, Roger and LaDonna Waters, Dawsonville, Jo Waters, Dawsonville; 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 13, 2015 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jason Hamby, Rev. Leonard W. Ridings and Rev. Stephen Davis will officiate. Interment will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 3 until 8 at the funeral home.
